What people are saying.

“Stefanie is a gifted and compassionate speaker and organizer who prioritizes intersectionality and meaningful work. Her facilitation during the "Solidarity is a Practice: Anti-Racist Work for White MMIND* Folks" was identity-affirming and accessible, justice-centered, and gave real, meaningful strategies to engage in allyship & co-conspiratorship as a verb. Stefanie is approachable, thoughtful, and engaging. I am better for having worked with her.”

This workshop was amazing! The content and information was ground-breaking and so vital to birthworkers or anyone else trying to navigate life with a disability or mental illness that could possibly lead to crisis. I was so impressed with the way that Stefanie held space for emotional or intense moments that came up for folks during the training. She also modelled a beautiful moment of vulnerability and transparency for us all. I look forward to more trainings and workshops through Project LETS.

In the 8 yrs I've been studying and practicing therapy and the 12 years since I became a birth doula, this is far and away the best facilitated training I've attended - and there have been some great ones. I've you're interested in anti-carceral, anti-racist, access-centered, and harm reduction-framed crisis intervention, this training is it. The facilitator lead with disarming humility, transparency, and a deep knowledge base. They presented directly applicable information and frameworks, their young child occasionally in their arms. They offered options for all bodies and learning styles and personal histories as we went. When they quoted or paraphrased someone, that person or movement was credited. They created a veritable community of birth workers, bonding us in the course of four short hours; we shared together, cried together, and learned together. I left feeling inspired and empowered and grateful. I look forward to learning more through BADT.

“This is a great in-depth workshop that teaches you skills around supporting folks in crisis in any part of their life. I loved that the facilitator centered folks that have lived experiences within their intersecting identities that face violence from systems in place. LOVED their approach the teachings being from an abolitionist, critical systems, disability focused, racialized folks and community focused lens. I appreciated facilitator carving out space for folks naming and remembering folks that were murdered by police violence, instead of just mentioning it in theory and moving on without holding space for it. The workshop also has time for folks to practice what we learned with other workshop attendees, as well as how to meet folks where they are at. HIGHLY recommend this workshop for ANYONE.”
